News you can use

I'm excited today because I discovered a fairly new fly fishing site/blog. Well, not exactly discovered, more like Christopher Columbus...It was here and we stumbled on it. The exciting thing for me is that Allen Gardner is a Colorado guy and The Catch and The Hatch covers some of my favorite waters. The good part of all of us is TCTH is a great site-blog, has lots of fishing tips, great photography and videos (including fly tying.) They like guests posts for you blogging folks out there. Click on the link and check out The Catch and the Hatch.

It's time for another great fly tying demonstration at Rocky Mountain Anglers. This coming weekend RMA is presenting Rick Takahashi.

The Spring fly fishing season is beginning to take shape as ice in the local waters is finally starting to retreat! To help anglers effectively navigate the current fishing conditions, Rocky Mountain Anglers has invited Rick Takahashi to demonstrate fly tying techniques that will work great on Colorado waters throughout the Spring. Fly patterns Mr. Takahashi will be demonstrating include several midge pupa patterns, BWO's using Daiichi hooks, and Minnows using Senyos Laser Dubbing. So join us this Saturday, March 3rd from 11am to 1pm, and improve your chances of enjoying a successful Spring fly fishing season while restocking your tying materials at discounted prices during our special event!
Rick TakahashiRick Takahashi: Author of Modern Midges, Tying and Fishing the World's Most Effective Patterns, Rick Takahashi is an artistic fly tyer who has crafted such popular patterns as the Go2 Nymph, Crystal Chironomid, and Holographic Chironomid. Mr. Takahashi's beautiful fly designs have been featured in the Umpqua Feather Merchants catalog and presented at numerous national fly fishing shows.

That's it for today. I hope you've visit The Catch and The Hatch and those of you in the Denver area will stop by Rocky Mountain Anglers.

    1. Hey Sanders, I was beginning to wonder if we would have to send a search party out! The Catch and The Hatch is going to be one of my go to places for fishing info and there is more to come. Allen tells me more good stuff is on the way.
